Anytime a big punching champion comes along many will liken him to being the new Mike Tyson.
That said, new UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou of the Cameroon has a legit claim to this revered moniker.
His punching power was on awesome display Saturday night in Las Vegas when he knocked out Stipe Miocic in the second round.
The God-fearing Christian and new Champion of the World had overcome a lot to get where he is today in America.
After a long travel from Africa to Europe he eventually made it to America, paid his dues and now is champion.
Not many know that he actually wanted to go into pro boxing first but opportunities came in the sport of mixed martial arts.
Don’t be too surprised if you see him, however, and some others in the UFC, get involved in professional boxing.
Sooner than you might think.
Word to this wise.
Congrats on the win this weekend.
