Former heavyweight champion of the world Mike Tyson is a keen fan of both boxing and the sport of mixed martial arts today.
Tyson is often ringside at noteable UFC events.
Recently the former knockout artist boxer made a bold prediction that UFC female fighter ‘Thug’ Rose will take apart her Chinese rival Zhang Weili in their upcoming fight.
Weili has responded by saying to, reportedly, to Chinese media:
“I think he’d better comment after practicing MMA. MMA is a comprehensive sport. It is not only a punching game.”
On a boxing note, more and more excellent boxing talent continues to come out of China in recent years.
It will be interesting to see what opportunities for world titles and big fights in America, or elsewhere, they can secure for themselves.
