Ahead of this weekend’s notable fight for women’s boxing, Australian Ebanie Bridges has been vocal.
She has responded to opponent Shannon Courtenay’s remarks regarding her weigh-in outfits specifically:
“Have some respect and decorum for boxing.”
Speaking to Matchroom Boxing YouTube — Bridges said in reply:
“To say all the hard work that (Irish world champion) Katie Taylor has put in to get the sport where it is. You think I am not grinding behind closed doors? You know what, I really hope that she thinks I am not training and that I am going around lingerie shopping and all that. She is going to get a rude ******* shock and she is going to see exactly what it is like to get hit by a lingerie model, which is apparently what I am.”
This weekend is expected to potentially be a big weekend of women’s boxing.
Time will tell how it does.
Bridges has jumped to noticeability in recent times after her last fight only just gone in March.
While not a lot of big fights this weekend in America this weekend, Joe Smith Jr. also returns to action.
Internationally, Conor Benn vs Samuel Vargas takes place and in the USA Jaron Ennis vs Sergey Lipinets also solid fights this weekend.
