Son of former world champion Nigel Benn, Conor Benn, impressed once again at the weekend with a devastating first round stoppage win.
Benn has shown tremendous promise and improvement in his short blazing career thus far.
After the fight at the weekend, almost visibly still in fight mode, he was aggressive in wanting a piece of one Amir Khan.
Former world champion Khan while coming towards the back end of his career is still a huge name in the sport and no doubt interested in a big fight or two before calling it a day.
With talks of an over-marinated Kell Brook fight looking unlikely, once again, Khan has poured cold water over a showdown with Benn for now:
It appears the two are at very different stages of their careers at this point in fairness.
One can’t blame the young Benn for looking for the big pay days though. Khan is still a huge name in world boxing and sport.
For now, exciting times to see the development of Benn in the years ahead as he bids to follow in his father’s footsteps.
