It is big fight week time in the State of Texas as many, many Canelo Alvarez fans roll into the now big fight State to support their charge against Billy Joe Saunders of the UK.
Texas is quickly becoming one of the biggest destinations for boxing in the world over the last year or so in particular.
What a State in fairness. What the Texans have done for boxing is quite excellent.
This weekend sees pound for pound star Alvarez return to action but some are giving an outside chance to his adversary.
Including lineal heavyweight champion Tyson ‘Gypsy King’ Fury.
Fury has pointed to boxing legend Roy Jones Jr’s words on the bout in particular:
Both boxers appear to be in supreme condition for what is expected to be one of the biggest live boxing events of the year so far.
After a terrible time for boxing over the last year and a half or so, this type of event in Texas is a breath of fresh air.
Hopefully the fight lives up to the hype and both boxers deliver compelling action.
It could be one of those fights that has a bit of everything in terms of sweet science nuances and physicality departments in speed and power exhibited.
If Alvarez were to have an off night anything can happen.
Same goes for Saunders.
Boxing fans will just have to tune in to see what happens on the night.
