In recent days it was confirmed that Manny Pacquiao and Errol Spence will do battle in Las Vegas this summer.
The fight is scheduled to take place on August 28th with venue to be confirmed.
It will be for the WBA, WBC and IBF world welterweight championships.
Retired former pound for pound champion Andre Ward when speaking with a group of reporters tipped one man to have the edge:
“That’s a tough one. For both guys. On one hand you’ve got to give Spence the edge being younger. Being in a good groove right now. I know he came off the injury but the Danny Garcia fight was real good for him. I think it’s a good time for him.”
A great fight really.
If Spence were to make a big statement calls for a Terence Crawford showdown will come again.
Pacquiao will have one or two things to say about that of course.
