WBC lightweight world champion Devin Haney is regarded as one of the standout young stars in boxing at the moment.
His attitude is very good for a young fighter and seems to do many things quite well in the ring.
The 22-year-old takes on former world champion Jorge Linares this weekend in Las Vegas.
It will be Haney’s 26th professional fight and will likely represent the biggest challenge of his career to date.
Linares is a respected former multi-division champion and quality operator.
Coming off the back of two wins he might not be as finished just yet in boxing as some think.
Then again, Haney might just be catching him at the right time too.
Linares has shown he can be hurt and the life force and momentum of Haney could prove to me too much.
These are not regular times however and a lot will tell how both boxers have trained during the last while.
No matter age.
Linares might not be as much a write off as some think.
Good step up for Haney this weekend in Vegas.
If he wins fights against the likes of Teofimo Lopez, Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis could be in the mix.
