Some say that punching power in boxing cannot be taught and that it is a natural gift that some fighters are born with.
While there might be some truth in that there is also the school of thought that says improved technique and various other training tools can help overall punching power.
Speed kills more than anything too and comes into play when speaking about punch power.
Perhaps none are more qualified in boxing history to talk about punching power than oldest heavyweight champion George Foreman.
Speaking on his Twitter account he credits the following with improving his punch power:
“If I can get my hands on him I felt all I needed was one good touch and the guy would fall. The AX brought to my punch. Some guys were so elusive; 1 touch was out of the question though.”
