This weekend at the age of 38 Nonito Donaire rolled back the clock with an emphatic knockout win to become WBC banatamweight world champion.
The oldest in history to become a champion in the weight class.
He also joined a select list in boxing history to win world titles in three different decades.
A stat gone slightly under the radar but equally as impressive.
The longevity of his career proved beyond reasonable doubt.
Another notable Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao reacted to the win on social media saying:
“Congrats Nonito Donaire on a huge KO win! The oldest WBC bantamweight champion in history. Still living up to your nickname, the Flash! #PinoyPride”
An outstanding win the spring boards Donaire back into the mix of big fights in the near future.
