A New Change That Could Be Lobbied For Women’s Boxing

Female boxing has grown a bit in recent years overall to be fair.

In terms of its holding in professional boxing that is.

It obviously does not have the demand of men’s boxing or ever will but with that being said, there is a place for it and it can grow if more networks back it.

One of the sport’s oldest figures at the weekend mentioned that Boxing Commissions in America should now be lobbied to increase the round duration.

Changing it from two minutes to three minutes for the women in the professional boxing ranks.

There could be a lot of sense in that in fairness.

Many of the top tier professional female boxers are highly trained nowadays.

Some of them are just warming up at the end of the two minutes mark.

This change would obviously be up to the Boxing Commissions based on the medical and scientific, as well as, practical applications.

Likely it would need to be a motion tabled before a large number of Commissions first.
