Size and height doesn’t win fights at the highest level.
That much is a given in professional boxing.
Ability is what wins fights.
With that being said, it can be advantageous to some fighters if height and size is used in an appropriate manner.
Perhaps that is what world champion Mario Barrios will be banking on tonight when he takes on knockout artist Gervonta Davis who moves up in weight.
A big test for ‘Tank’ as he looks to become a three-weight world champion.
So, as regards tale of the tape.
Barrios will enjoy a 4.5 inch height advantage standing at 5 feet 10 inches to Davis’ 5 feet 5 inches.
He will also have a reach of 71 inches to Davis’ 67.5 inches.
Intriguing fight and will show a lot of Davis’ ability tonight.
Roll on.
