What a win for Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis this weekend.
On the same weekend an excellent comeback win for Vasyl Lomachenko looks set to set up a rematch with Teofimo Lopez later this year.
This weekend though was all about Davis becoming a three-weight world champion with a vintage stoppage of Mario Barrios.
His promoter and mentor Floyd Mayweather reacted to the result afterwards with:
Plenty of big fights for Davis next up to be made.
He has shown his power carries through the weight classes now which proves his pound for pound credentials, all be a mythical list anyway.
His star in America continues to grow every fight now.
