A lot of talk surrounded a possible showdown between pound for pound star Gervonta Davis and undefeated Ryan Garcia but it would appear it won’t be happening anytime soon.
Many including fighters called for it after the weekend’s Davis win.
However, it would appear politics for now won’t allow it to happen.
Even though it would be a huge fight.
Definitely a big one down the line though.
After Davis’ win at the weekend, Garcia’s own promoter Oscar De La Hoya mentioned Davis was a ‘beast’ and that he wants Garcia to have no part of him at the moment.
That in itself says a lot.
Don’t expect it soon.
Possibly a big fight down the line but certainly not in the immediate future.
