Unfortunately sometimes things get taken out of context.
Or even flat out misquoted from boxers and professional sport stars alike.
When it happens, it is not good. Obviously.
It causes further distrust from professional athletes engaging with press and media at all.
It is understandable when that happens. Nobody owes anybody anything at the end of the day. Nobody has to talk to strangers or give their time to anyone they don’t know. Wise, appropriate and correct attitude in most cases.

Female boxing star Claressa Shields has clarified some comments that were taken out of context on Conor McGregor ahead of this weekend’s big fight involving the Irishman:

Certainly at some point in the near future.
