On This Day In 2000 Lennox Lewis Flattened South African

Former undisputed heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis perhaps doesn’t get the credit he deserves sometimes when talking about all-time great heavyweights.

His style of boxer-fighter would have been a problem in any era.

Heart, grit and punching power when he needed it. Good inside fighter for a big man too. When in condition and motivated a brutal chess player boxer with power in both hands.

Excellent jab and fundamentals and the only two times he lost in his career, he faithfully avenged.

On this day in 2000 he scored a spectacular knockout over South African Frans Botha:

Some punch indeed.
