Rigondeaux Points To Pacquiao In Close Split Decision Loss

Guillermo Rigondeaux of Cuba at the weekend lost a close and highly contentious split decision to Filipino champion Casimero.

He showed, though, that he has plenty left in the tank.

Even at close to 41 years of age now.

Afterwards he pointed to another well known Filipino champion in defeat:

“Congratulations to the Filipino fans. You have a great champion, his name is Pacquiao.”

Pacquiao returns to action next weekend himself.

In a rescheduled bout with Errol Spence pulling out due to a severe eye injury.

Early reports suggest Spence’s surgery to his eye was a success.
