It was a big weekend for Brazilian fight legends just gone.
Vitor Belfort and Anderson Silva, former UFC Champions, both scored knockouts in Florida.
Silva scored the decisive one, however, over former UFC champion Tito Ortiz in brutal fashion:
No doubt Silva back in the day would have been one of the few who could have made the move from MMA to pro boxing with some success.
As for the above, and the fights at the weekend, obviously the appropriate Federal authorities will need to take a serious look at the Florida Commission moving forward.
Yes, it is entertainment, but the last thing anyone would want is to see one of these fight legends, be it boxing or MMA, suffer serious injury or death just for the sake of making a few bucks, life is too short.
The exhibition thing is okay but licensing legitimate professional bouts is another story, obviously.
There is a difference between the two.
