Women’s boxing sensation — blonde boxing stunner Ebanie Bridges of Australia has had quite the year to remember.
A big story for sure.
In a time where women’s professional boxing became more popular than ever — Ozzie beauty Bridges’ helped this tremendously with besides her obvious good looks — but with more importantly her considerable fight ability, intelligence, heart, unique personality and story to match. Seems like a genuinely interesting and good hearted person all in all. No wonder its being such a big story this year.
Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn spoke to Mike Dixon in Las Vegas about getting her to the fight capital of the world he said:
“Why not. She’s a big part of our plans. I think we need to get her a world title shot next. She had a very good fight with Shannon Courtenay. We’re going to see her probably February next year. That division is great.”
Indeed the quantity and quality of women’s professional boxing has improved hugely as Hearn went on to mention.
Giving it more interest from TV companies and networks.
To the appropriate level in recent years also where there is now many producing pound for pound lists and the like.
Most importantly the quality of the fights and competitive professional matchmaking has improved.
Some good fights ahead surely.
