Devin Haney recorded a big win this weekend and although this weekend is all about the big Davis vs Cruz fight, Haney became a big name himself after this weekend to be fair to him.
He beat brave Joseph ‘JoJo’ Diaz on unanimous points in Las Vegas.
He now looks set to take on new undisputed champion George Kambosos of Australia next year.
Following the fight he paid tribute to one of boxing’s bright young trainers Ben Davison:
Haney certainly has a very good team for sure.
Credit to promoter Eddie Hearn on doing a very good job with him as well to be fair to him.
Boxing fans lucky to have so many tremendous young fighters all boxing at the moment putting on this caliber of fights.

Diaz can come back again too as well.
Plenty of good fights in and around that weight still for him.
Maybe Haney will be keeping an eye on tonight’s Davis vs Cruz fight too.
