Gervonta Davis recorded a unanimous decision points win tonight in LA over Isaac Cruz of Mexico.
A good fight and one that seems to have gone down quite well with boxing fans so far.
Speaking after the fight Davis said of the bout:
“I don’t feel like I took any punishment. I feel as though I’m fresh. I could go another 12 rounds right now. We in the fight game. I knew he wasn’t coming to lay down. That’s why I told you before that I was ready to go 12 rounds. I’ve been in his position before so I knew he was going to try. So I just did what I had to do when I hurt my hand. I tried to play it off a little bit and get the job done by any means.”
He added:
“If we fight again I’ll knock him out.”
