One of boxing’s other bright young world champions Shakur Stevenson of Newark was watching another young champion in Gervonta Davis at the weekend.
Davis a bit further along in his career and the building of his brand but surely Stevenson will be one of the future pound for pound stars in the sport.
Speaking after the fight Stevenson said:
It is unclear how serious the hand injury to Davis is yet but one thing is clear.
The heart he showed to fight on with a broken hand if in fact sustained in round 6.
Also showing his boxing ability which will only get stronger as time goes on.
