Russia and Ireland in some ways have nothing in common.
In others lots.
In boxing fans’ history and fight fans’ history Ireland and Russia have obviously produced a lot of fight fan favorites.
For sure.
Who were the best two ever?
Difficult call.
Ranking all-time best fighters always a bone of contention among all us fight fans surely.
Look no one gets it right all the time.
But us boxing fans and fight fans alike enjoy it over the years.
It makes the sport more interesting.
Boxing is our bread and butter of course on here as boxing fans first and foremost.
But mixed martial arts and the UFC have produced some great fights over the years too.
Fight fans just enjoy good fights at the end of the day.
Simple.

So let’s say all things considering he was the best Irish fighter ever.
Fedor a considerable boxer in MMA too. The best Russian ever.
Outside of their work they were and are both very kind individuals and men of faith. Certainly both believers in ‘love thy neighbor as thyself’ in the Bible (basic instructions before leaving Earth).
But three things in their fighting really stand out if you go back and watch their fights.
In their unrivalled primes.
- Ability to stay composed almost to an unflappable extent. Calm in the heat of battle personified. Unmovable. No flinching with rocket punches flying past their heads:
2. David vs Goliath-like willingness to fight adversaries perceived as much stronger and bigger than them:
3. Work ethic.
Similar to Floyd Mayweather below — a relentless, admirable hard-work and dedication mindset:
