Mayer who fights on the biggest sport network worldwide in ESPN could offer a significant opportunity for female boxing to grow if they made the fight for them maybe.
Dialogue appears to be still ongoing as to if women’s boxing will become three-minute-rounds in duration next year also.
The appropriate regulators and medical professionals will of course decide that.
With that being said, from ESPN’s point of view you’d have to think they would favor it.
Maybe Alycia vs Mayer would be a good test for it and if safe and successful for the two of them this could act as a blueprint thereafter, moreover.
