Recently it was confirmed by the WBC (World Boxing Council) that Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez and his trainer Eddy Reynoso made the decision to move up to cruiserweight.
An epic challenge for sure.
Something many boxing fans are eagerly-awaiting.
Alvarez has actually even sparred heavyweights in the past not many realize though.
Not least unbeaten Cuban (19-0-13 KO) Frank Sanchez.
Sanchez told EsNews YouTube (hat tip) he believes Alvarez will win titles at cruiserweight:
So many big fights out there for him should Alvarez win that too.
Benavidez, Bivol, Beterbiev and many others will all be looking for a fight with Alvarez in the years ahead.
