Most boxing fans will remember Amir Khan in the younger days as one of the most explosive, fastest fighters in the world.
One could argue he had the fastest hands purely for hand speed back then.
Out of any fighter in the world at one time.
Imagine a fight between Khan and Mayweather or Pacquiao back in the day.
Purely for the speed of combinations that would have been exchanged.
It would be hard for television cameras to pick up on the speed surely.
Khan had almost Howard Davis-like hand speed at one time.
Speed kills and when Khan was on-form, although too brave for his own good sometimes, was always value for money for boxing fans tuning in.
That vulnerability when he got hit was part of why fans loved Khan fights as well as the heart he always showed, as well as a genuine willingness to always go after the big fights.
Ahead of his next big fight with long-time competitor Kell Brook of the UK — which will finally happen next February — Sky Sports have been remembering some of the gym wars of Khan back in the day in Freddie Roach’s Wild Card gym in Hollywood:

Some of those Khan fights were unbelievable around that time.
Of course he also sparred one Manny Pacquiao back in the day too.
