Former heavyweight champion Sonny Liston is rated as one of the biggest punching heavyweight champions in boxing history.
The only man George Foreman said could ever make him back up in the ring.
A formidable jab, punching power and methodical cutting the ring off mentality lead Liston to many big wins.
Although he spent most of his career in the US, Liston did travel too and fought in places like Sweden a number of times.
A classic photo of him here in the UK has also emerged:
Liston only ever lost three times in the end.
Two of which to Muhammad Ali.
Away from boxing a very quiet but intelligent man many noted.
He trained in Las Vegas in Johnny Tocco’s for a while and his final fight in 1970 came against Chuck Wepner in New Jersey.
A bout he won inside the distance.
