Previously it had been thought pound for pound number one Canelo Alvarez would move up to cruiser weight next.
Considering he started as a junior middleweight, a serious undertaking for sure.
That said, he could be putting off the weight move for now:
Interestingly though Plant also in contention for the fight with Charlo:
Obviously Charlo will look to land the big Canelo fight first but time will tell what Canelo chooses to do moving forward.
All roads lead to him at the end of the day.
