Boxing legend Larry Holmes was recently quoted on Fight Hub as saying he didn’t think today’s heavyweight’s skills were as good as years gone by.
Perhaps one of the great fighters of modern boxing heavyweight eras is Lennox Lewis.
And all time too.
Speaking in reaction to current lineal champion Tyson Fury’s take on Wladimir Klitschko and Deontay Wilder, Lewis said:
Lewis proved himself the best of his era.
Fury surely the same of the current one although still some big fights yet for Fury before he hangs up the gloves surely.
