Boxing saw its newest holder of the youngest world champion in the sport capture a belt this weekend.

22-year-old Jesse Rodriguez of Texas.

He defeated Carlos Cuadras via unanimous decision to capture the WBC super-flyweight title.

Promoter Eddie Hearn said of the feat:

Well done and a big congrats to the new youngest world champion in boxing.

The win takes his record to 15-0 (10 KO).
