But one man as a non-participant deserves a mention following the above list, too, moreover.
That is, of course, José Sulaimán who created the WBC of today’s times.

The World Boxing Council now lead by his son Mauricio who genuinely do tremendous work not just in Mexico or in boxing but around the world.
José Sulaimán by all accounts was a big sports fan and his son Mauricio in a column this week spoke of how boxing — like all sports — needs to have fans in attendance more respectful of the competition going on.
Whether on the field of play or in the ring.

Unfortunately an accident happened at a Mexican soccer match in recent days that caused injury to a number of people after fans invaded the pitch.

Another fan in a boxing match in Europe invaded a boxing ring last weekend, also, furthermore.
One thing in Sulaimán’s latest column that seemed to go under the radar a bit but was an important reminder — was this on the Tyson vs Lewis brawl back in the day:
Something that not many knew about until now.
Lewis won the fight inside the distance in one of the biggest heavyweight fights of all time.
