Mexico Has A New Women's World Champion

Women’s boxing appears to be growing again in 2022.

Like it did in 2021.

A number of women boxers in Mexico outside of the big name women boxers are trying to get TV deals and get onto the ladder of pro boxing.

In America, Mexico and around the world.

The latest being new world champion Jessica Nery.

At the weekend Nery became WBA light flyweight champion by beating Yésica Bop of Argentina.

The fight in Panama saw Nery win by scorecards 97-93, 93-97 and 96-94 by split decision.
