Boxing is growing in all countries worldwide all of a sudden recently.
For a variety of positive reasons.
Between huge new global companies interested in the sport, YouTube’s growth, and TV companies interested in showing boxing again.
In the US not many know that NBC are back showing boxing again since Al Haymon and PBC were involved with it some years ago.
Not only that, Ben Shalom of Boxxer has them and PeacockTV.com on a combined total audience of 150 million eyeballs in the US alone starting to show Boxxer events again.
Speaking to IFL TV Shalom said:
“We have been working with Peacock and NBC for the 12 months now, well the 6 months definitely, just developing that relationship. All our shows are shown on Peacock now. Just an unbelievable partner. I mean 30 million subscribers on Peacock. 120 million homes have NBC and their satellites. Incredible platform. Being working on them getting them back interested in boxing.”
All countries, not just the English-speaking ones, are seeing boxing explode in growth.
The above from an American perspective further good news for fight fans.
Boxxer is also live on Sky Sports in the UK as the biggest broadcaster in the UK showing boxing at this time.
‘We even said to Ryan and his team that we can do something in September or December. It doesn’t necessarily have to be in my weight class. We can do a catch weight so we don’t necessarily have to have any problems moving forward.’
