Canelo on Mayweather influence ahead of his latest big title fight with Jaime Munguia that takes place Cinco De Mayo weekend in Las Vegas.
Speaking on ESPN with Stephen A. Smith Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez said:
‘You need to learn from everybody. At the end of the day he (Floyd Mayweather) is one of the best in the history of boxing for something because he fight with the best fighters out there, and I’m doing the same thing. I say in my mind, you know, people are asking for so much, for this, for this, for this, and I always do what they (boxing fans) want. And why? I don’t need to ask for something. You know, I deserve what I have because I sacrifice myself. I put discipline and everything on my side to be in this position and I deserve what I have.’
His fight with Munguia this weekend takes place at the T-Mobile Arena.
