Lomachenko proved his pound for pound credentials again with a TKO over Kambosos and speaking after the fight touched on the unification heavyweight title fight between Fury and Usyk:
“I am with my friend and my brother Oleksandr. I wish him to win this fight. The best man will win this fight. This is a very historical moment for boxing, for people around boxing and of course for our Ukraine it is a very important fight. I will be praying for Oleksandr and I hope the best man will win.”
One of boxing’s biggest fights of the modern era takes place next week in Saudi Arabia between Tyson Fury and Usyk for all the heavyweight titles.
