Texas Athletic Commission React To Mike Tyson Health Scare

Texas athletic commission

Boxing News and Views spoke with the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation who are staging the Tyson vs Paul fight July 20th.

Mike Tyson was widely reported last weekend on a flight between Miami and LA to have underwent a minor health challenge.

That required the 57-year-old former heavyweight champion of the world to require brief paramedic assistance.

Tyson confirmed this week that he is back to feeling 100 per cent after the brief health challenge.

Speaking to Boxing News and Views today the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation said to us:

“TDLR is aware of media reports regarding an episode involving Mr. Tyson. At present, Mr. Tyson and Mr. Paul have met the medical requirements for this event. Before the event in July, TDLR will conduct pre-fight physicals to ensure the health of both fighters.”

As of now per the above Tyson has passed all medicals.
