Former world champion and current boxing promoter Oscar De La Hoya reacts to Hearn drubbing from Frank Warren’s Queensberry.
The 5 v 5 tournament format proved to be a massive success on its very first trialling as a platform to use in the sport.
Unfortunately Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom came off the worst by losing ever single one of the fights on the format.
Oscar De La Hoya wants his company Golden Boy to take on Bob Arum’s Top Rank next saying on X:
“5-0 (laughs).”
Adding:
“Great concept by @Turki_alalshikh @GoldenBoyBoxing vs @TopRank in Las Vegas”
And:
“Goldenboy vs Top Rank in Vegas is huge!!!! @BobArum let’s talk”
Certainly the above has potential.
Of course PBC Premier Boxing Champions also have a large stable of fighters too to consider.
Overall, it seems we will see many more of these 5 v 5 cards soon.
