The Hollywood star is set to join heavyweight champion Usyk in a new movie coming to the big screens soon.
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is known as a big boxing fan.
Now he gets to work alongside one of the best boxers of these times in current heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.
Speaking on Instagram earlier Johnson posted the following ahead of filming the movie next week:
“An honor to have the newly crowned Undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the World @usykaa join our cast of “The Smashing Machine”
Adding:
“I have huge respect for Oleksandr Usyk and will be my honor to share the ring with him – as he knocks my jaw into next week.”
The movie success of a professional boxer is the latest in recent years in a long line.
From Antonio Tarver to Tony Bellew, Usyk follows in their footsteps as boxing’s next big Hollywood hit.
All be it playing a role of a mixed martial arts fighter.
