Gervonta Davis Trainer Responds To Salty, Envious, Sour, Resentful Floyd Mayweather

Floyd Mayweather made a rather jealous, bitter and kind of sad move this weekend after Gervonta Davis’ big knockout of Frank Martin.

Mayweather at one time promoted Davis but no more in recent times. The two had a very public spat then followed by a split.

After the fight Davis’ coach peaking to Fight Hype — Coach Calvin Ford said:

“At the end of the day, the man is chasing greatness. You should be supporting that. I always tell you that. You should be supporting that, you know. This is a rocky road that is going on. Just pay attention man. The story is going to be built itself. But again that’s how you burn bridges. Somebody says the true colors of a person is coming out. Because they can’t stand it man. Karma, I don’t like using that word karma man but our lord knows, he knows.”

Indeed.

While the Bible doesn’t mention karma it says the same thing basically in one part. What goes around comes around — Galatians 6:7.

You reap what you sow in all aspects (bad energy people always get what’s coming to them).

Floyd Mayweather’s actions this weekend have been distasteful to say the least after one of the biggest stars in boxing did something great for the sport.

He kicked off the biggest streaming company in the world’s (after Netflix), Amazon Prime, in fine fashion. A historic achievement for himself and the sport of boxing.

Hopefully partnering with the top notch executive that is Richard Schaefer will upgrade Floyd’s promotional ability for his fighters.

With respect, Floyd the fighter and Floyd the promoter seem to be two very, very different people.

Kudos to “Tank” Davis on kicking off historic things for the sport this weekend with Amazon. Surely Jeff Bezos at some point today will have a smile to see what boxing and has company has started to do.

Boxing went to a new level never seen before as a sport, industry and market this weekend on Amazon. Worldwide.

Tension

The recent public fallout between Floyd Mayweather and Gervonta “Tank” Davis has brought to light the growing tension within Mayweather Promotions.

Mayweather’s apparent bitterness towards Davis’ success, who has recently emerged as a boxing superstar in his own right, raises questions about the future of the promotional company and its ability to nurture talent at times.

Tank Davis’ Departure: A Major Blow to Mayweather Promotions

Tank Davis’ decision to leave Mayweather Promotions was a significant blow to the company. Davis, with his charismatic personality and explosive fighting style, had become one of the most popular and marketable fighters in the sport.

His departure still in fact leaves a gaping hole in Mayweather Promotions’ roster and raises concerns about their ability to attract and retain top talent.

Mayweather’s Bitterness: A Hindrance to Growth

Mayweather’s public displays of bitterness towards Davis’ success, including derogatory comments and social media posts, have not been well-received by the boxing community.

Many see it as a sign of insecurity and a lack of professionalism on Mayweather’s part. This negativity could further alienate potential fighters.

Richard Schaefer’s Potential Impact

The recent appointment of Richard Schaefer as a new partner of Mayweather Promotions offers a hope for the company.

Schaefer, a seasoned boxing promoter with a proven track record, brings valuable experience and expertise to the table. His leadership could help stabilize the company and attract new talent.

Schaefer’s Challenges and Opportunities

Schaefer faces a challenging task in rebuilding Mayweather Promotions and attracting new fighters. He will need to address the company’s internal issues and create a more positive and supportive environment for its fighters.

However, he also has the opportunity to leverage his extensive network and experience to forge new partnerships and expand the company’s reach.

The Future of Mayweather Promotions

The future of Mayweather Promotions remains uncertain.

The company’s success will depend on its ability to adapt to the changing landscape of boxing and nurture new talent.

Schaefer’s leadership and the lessons learned from the Tank Davis saga could be crucial in determining the company’s future trajectory.
