The UFC President and now boxing promoter White remembers a meeting with the champion contending for the top of the boxing world.
Benavidez had another solid win at the weekend. He’s earned the Canelo shot now. It’s just a matter of time before it happens at this point.

You know people believe in all that manifesting stuff and sure there is something to it.
Some things are just destiny and cannot be stopped. Destinies by Almighty God. That means they can’t be stopped, impossible to actually do so.
God’s promises in his word are no lies. Destiny and manifesting is indeed real, as part of, destiny. Fate. Call it what you will. We’ve seen it a million times. Passages. One door closes another opens. Swings and round abouts. Peaks and troughs. Ups and downs. It is all part of the same thing. The universe. Basically.
Benavidez getting his shot on Canelo Alvarez is one of those destiny moments. It will happen.
You think someone like Canelo who beat the living **** out of people from every country, is scared of just a fight? A boxing match? Against just another man in Benavidez?
No way Jose. That’s just rubbish to even think that and you know it is.
If Canelo is offered big money to take on Terence Crawford next will surely go for that fight first however. If they make that this year, that’s a pound for pound clash.
Pound for pound must take precedent.
The Benavidez fight has to happen after that. Canelo is still young as is “The Monster”. The fight will happen. Give it time.
The powers that be in boxing will make it happen. Saudi Arabia’s take over is only going to grow as are other interests outside of the sport in the East and West.
That’s a fact.
The fight will happen but fans must just be patient for now. It will be a fight for the ages when it happens soon.
Make no mistake about it.
You never know, White and Zuffa Boxing in coordination with other outfits in boxing might make it happen sooner than you think.
