Can Mike Tyson Pull Off A Rocky Against Jake Paul?

Can Mike Tyson Pull Off A Rocky Balboa Against Jake Paul?

Since the fight was initially made by Netflix there has been a lot of talk around the world about it but the reality is Tyson will be an old man come fight night. At least in professional sports terms.

Understandably those in the sport are concerned for Tyson’s well being but if you go back a few years to the Roy Jones Jr. exhibition, Tyson seemed to pull that off quite well.

Granted, he’s a few years older and this time it’s not an exhibition.

It’s a real professional fight and one where both he and Paul will not be holding anything back.

What’s more, Paul is no fool. He’s having a cruiserweight bout shortly to get ready for not just Tyson.

But the move to heavyweight.

People forget, heavyweight boxing is like an entirely different sport. Paul has never been there. Tyson’s power in his punch will still be there.

The question is can he land it?

Most have written Tyson off as an underdog at this point given his age but how big would a Tyson knockout of Paul be live on Netflix to a worldwide audience?

It simply is something that captures not just boxing fans’ imaginations but the general sports fan at large.

In every country.

Names like Tyson, Ali, are synonymous with boxing and are names on their own worldwide.

Bigger than boxing.

Can Tyson land one big right or left hand, hook or straight down the middle on Paul?

November 15th is the new date and is a long way away still.

This gives Tyson more than enough time to rest and continue both his study of Paul and scientific, appropriate training for such a task.

The concern is seeing an old Mike Tyson brutally knocked out by Paul would cause serious damage to Tyson for the sake of twenty or so million dollars.

The flip side to that coin is a Tyson knockout of Paul would likely break the internet.

It’s the Rocky Balboa story for Tyson in many ways.

People love Rocky and always route for the underdog.

It’s just human nature.

Jake Paul if he is smart, and Netflix too, would be well advised to market Paul as more of a villain and bad guy when the build up gets going again in the coming months.

That’s the sell there. The last Rocky movie. That’s what Tyson is trying to pull off that Rocky didn’t in Balboa.
