The two big fights fans are now calling for Canelo Alvarez to be in, Crawford and Benavidez. One Mexican and former opponent has had his say.
The son of the great Chavez, Chavez Jr, is still training and fighting. He won a decision last December in Mexico.
Speaking to EsNews he said of Canelo’s next fight (and past fights):
“I don’t know why fighting Bivol (who beat Canelo), I don’t know why he fight Bivol because the style, he don’t have name. So I think he (Canelo) can beat Benavidez and Crawford and Canelo goes to other level. Canelo (beats Crawford). I think Canelo man. Maybe Crawford is more skilled fighter but Canelo is strong, big. Maybe six rounds and Canelo win this fight.”
He added:
“This is an interesting fight because Benavidez puts a lot of pressure all the rounds. So I see Benavidez maybe decision or Canelo (by decision). I want to see it.”
Interesting.
Both are big fights in different ways.
The Crawford fight a real pound for pound one.
If Alvarez could fight those two fights next up boxing fans would be very interested in that.
