“Bam” Rodriguez had a huge win last weekend putting him into most people’s top ten pound for pound world boxing rankings list.
A prized highly sought after list no less. Not bloody easy to get into. No way Jose. Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez is there on merit after a knockout win of Juan Estrada at the weekend.
It brought him to 20-0-13 KO and he won the WBC and Ring Magazine super-flyweight titles.
Strangely enough however one Chavez Jr or Mexico scored it for Estrada. Rodriguez’ trainer Robert Garcia said of that after the fight:
“I think Chavez was the Mexican judge because every round he was winning. Because every round he was hearing next to us giving the guy the rounds so I think Chavez was the judge.”
A competitive fight before the time of stoppage that surely would sell as a great rematch.
