The bad blood between the former student and pupil, fighter and promoter, is now finally spilling over even more.
It was no secret recently that the parting of ways between Floyd Mayweather and Gervonta Davis in recent years was less than amicable.
Davis again recently before his fight with Frank Martin speaking of his dislike for Mayweather. Now on social media Davis’ trainer and team are saying:
“Lets stop spinning the fans Gervonta vs Floyd.”
Big words there.
Floyd Mayweather is retired as an active professional boxer for many years now. Since the Conor McGregor fight.
He is now a grandfather furthermore and likely would not risk his health. Even for such large money that would likely be on offer.
Davis is coming into the prime of his career in the years ahead, moreover.
Mayweather boxes exhibitions now and next has one next month in Mexico against John Gotti III in a rematch of their fight last year.
There is no denying that Mayweather vs Davis would break all sorts of records though.
If a broadcaster came to Floyd and offered him say $150 to $200 million, could he say no to it?
Maybe.
