Jake Paul’s replacement for Mike Tyson on July 20th is an eight round cruiserweight bout against Mike Perry in Florida.
Perry has turned into a big star in the bareknuckle boxing professional format, having competed before that in the UFC.
Perry faced off with Conor McGregor in a bareknuckle boxing ring a little over a year ago but Jake Paul at cruiserweight is a different ball game. In an actual live fight in a pro boxing ring.
Paul certainly piled on a lot of pounds in recent months but if anything he looks to have slimmed down lately from the flabbier, fatter Paul he was a couple of months ago.
Ultimately this is no easy fight for Paul.
If he were to get sparked or get caught cold early then the Mike Tyson fight in November would likely be gone, after being put on a suspension after being knocked out, if that were to happen.
It will be interesting to see how this Paul vs Perry pro boxing match goes on DAZN.
Perry is a real brawler but with ten ounce boxing gloves on, it is a different sport to bareknuckle boxing.
