The Canelo coach has some words for Julio Cesar Chavez as 38-year-old continues his comeback.
Eddy Reynoso is thought to be one of the best trainers in all of world boxing. The man that masterminded Saul “Canelo” Alvarez’ to the top of the pound for pound mountain not long ago.
Speaking on X after Chavez’ points win in professional boxing over former UFC fighter Uriah Hall he said: (translation Spanish to English via X app):
“Today I celebrate the return to the ring of Julio César Chávez Jr, today he showed that when you have willpower anything is possible, keep going champion
Congratulations”
Indeed.
While Chavez Jr has not always been popular with boxing fans he is without question still a big name in the sport.
If he can continue to train hard and dedicate himself maybe he can still be in some big fights this year and next.

He is the son of one of the greatest of all time three-division world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Sr.
Chavez Jr himself it should still be noted as a former world champion.
He held the WBC world middleweight title between 2011 and 2012.
A while ago now but that’s what he should be aiming for again. No problem.
