The Olympics kicks off in boxing next Saturday and its not just Eastern European, Cubans, Irish or American amateur boxers going for Gold.
You wouldn’t think it but Australia has become a force at the highest level of professional boxing in recent years.
Churning out a number of male and female world champions.
This all goes back to grass roots and amateur boxing and Australia will have a record 12 boxers competing in Paris France 2024 this year:
The highest number of boxers out of any country this year.
Brazil next with ten boxers.
All in all, boxing has had an up and down relationship with the Olympics over the years but not the last one.
