The boxer from Algeria competing in women’s boxing has been the main story in the 2024 Olympics.
A short time ago Algerian boxer Imane Khelif ensured at least a medal in this year’s Olympics.
Here is how:
The reason for the controversy in the Olympics stems from a 2023 gender ruling by the IBA (International Boxing Association) who ruled the boxer could not at the time compete in women’s boxing due to an XY Chromosomes finding.
Here is the boxer’s claims on the organization today:
It is widely understood that the decision at the time was not fully contested either by the boxer.
The IBA were then removed by the IOC in the 2024 Olympics from regulating boxing.
On a separate note, the judging and scoring of the 2024 Olympics boxing in general has been a sham and shows the IOC to be very corrupt, clearly, and transparently in this year’s games.
In general, the scoring and judging in this years’ games have been horrific.
Robberies have been widespread in boxing this year.
That fact remains.
The IBA are clearly a less corrupt organization then the IOC and the Paris boxing unit.
