Boxing legend, Mexican legend and multi-weight world champion Manuel Marquez gave his take on a fight that saw Anpo land many shots on Pacquiao.
Marquez knows plenty about Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao of course.
Having fought him a total 4 times incredibly in their professional careers.
Speaking to Fight Hub Marquez said of Pacquiao’s recent draw with Anpo in Rizin, Tokyo, Japan he said:
“(Laughs) Tell me if Manny Pacquiao wants to fight an exhibition with me? Will it be an exhibition? No. We go into the ring and I want to kill him and he wants to kill me. There’s never an exhibition. When I said I retired, I retire for good. I had a good career.”
Basically suggesting Pacquiao retire.
That’s his call though.
If he has one more fight that’s up to Pacquiao.
He seemed not in great shape for the last fight either did Pacquiao.
Shredded for a 45-year-old, yes, but not in Pacquiao fight shape of old. He would need a stricter diet for that.
He might need to bring in real sparring partners too and really train properly if he’s considering a real fight against Ryan Garcia and Mario Barrios.
