The 2024 Olympics has come in for more criticism then any before in Olympic sporting history, and that’s saying something.
For all sorts of reasons too.
Right from the get go people have said this year’s Olympics is the worst Olympics ever.
This response on X from Plant cuts through the bull, the noise, and says it as it is — at the same time:
“Preaching universal tolerance while mocking a religion is contradicting. Does it not seem like the Olympics is ALREADY all inclusive, doesn’t true equality mean extending respect to every one of all backgrounds, colors and religions? There’s conspiracy and there’s blatant agenda”
It is little surprise that the above from Caleb Plant has garnered so much attention and reach on X.
Diversity and inclusion really died this year at the Olympics.

The ‘everyone’s a winner and give everyone a medal’ mentality did too. Rubbish. Everyone is not a winner. No. Some people deserve more based on merit, competence, ability and work ethic.
Thus their rewards are greater. Simple.
To put into context the above, X is also now the biggest social media platform in the world with more users daily as measured independently by third party agency Similar Web.
Furthermore, from a boxing perspective — some of the judging and scoring of fights this year again has been horrific.
To compound what already was the most controversial and deemed worst Olympics by the vast majority in the pantheon of all sporting history since the games began.
