By some margin too.
When it comes to eyeballs watching his fights and willing to pay to see them, not just in the US, Mexico or Latin America, but the world over, it is not even close.
You see it every time at his press conferences announcing fights or when talks are ongoing to who he is fighting next.
The numbers are off the charts.
Hate him or love him it cannot be denied that Alvarez is still by far the biggest star in the sport.
With the likes of Gervonta Davis, Ryan Garcia, Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua trailing behind him for numbers at both the box office, live streaming and pay per view buys.
He commands the numbers so he names his price at the end of the day in these big fights.
Turki Alalshikh may have missed out on signing him or securing any of his fights for now but the fact remains Alvarez remains the biggest star worldwide in all aspects in boxing.
People really want him to fight David Benavidez in 2025 however.
That fight needs to happen for his legacy in the sport.
